Special Notice

Most of the dances this summer will be held at the Phillips Recreation Center in Urbana. The Phillips Center will be closed due to holidays on June 19 and July 3, so those dances will be held at the Channing-Murray Foundation. Also, the summer dances will be 2 hours, from 8 to 10 pm. There will still be a short introduction to contra dance at 7:30.

We generally hold dances on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month. There are occasional exceptions to this rule with dances on other Fridays or Saturdays. The specific dates may depend on the scheduling of holidays and other events. This summer's dances will run from 8 to 10 pm. Most dances will be held at the Phillips Recreation Center, 505 W.Stoughton, and the Channing-Murray Foundation, 1209 W. Oregon, both in Urbana. Admission for most dances is on a sliding scale from $5 to $20, pay what you feel is right. A higher fee may be charged for special events.
